The Chateau Les Bruyères offers cosy rooms and a spacious suite in both the Empire chateau and the Norman manor house. All are decorated with taste, combining elegance and rustic style.

Each room is finished in a different style according to the inspiration of the lady of the house and look out either on the grounds, the kitchen garden of the jade tones of the heated swimming pool. Old fashioned charm and modern comfort combine harmoniously with plasma TV, broadband and minibar. One lovely room on the ground floor has also been adopted for guests with reduced mobility.

The Chateau les Bruyères offers 12 rooms and a suite split between the Empire Chateau and the manor house. Spacious, elegantly furnished and available as twins or doubles, the atmosphere can be as intimate or romantic as you wish but the overall impression is that you are invited guests. Simply let us know your preference – four poster of ship’s bunk, lounge area or work station, view over the grounds or the pool – we’ll do our very best to satisfy your wishes.

Situated in the heart of the Pays d’Auge, Château les Bruyères constitutes a first-rate stopover along the Cider Route. An Empire residence joined onto its 18th century Manor, the Château houses a collection of objets d’art and canvasses from the Harfaux family, who are the owners of the premises. Nestled beneath the roofs or opening its wide windows onto the park, each room gives off a unique atmosphere enhanced by original furniture.

Impassioned by art in all its forms, Philippe Harfaux is also the talented chef of this establishment. Hunting around the fresh produce of the market to elaborate his recipes, he also cultivates his own kitchen garden at the Château and is reintroducing cider drinks. The cider menu here comprises thirty or so specially selected AOC ciders from regional growers.

The walks, tourist breaks and sports activities are numerous in the region and each season has its own charm. At the Château, you will be able to enjoy the swimming pool and tennis courts or relax in the expert hands of Julie who lavishes essential oil massages on guests.
