Hotel Baudelaire Bastille *

White guy at recepion during the day - the most lazy and unpleasent staff all over the world.

There is no elevator, very small room, window didn't lock, there was nowhere to place shower head and shower didn't drain. .. . this wasn't fixed despite telling the attendant at the desk, only powerpoint was above the wardrobe near the TV. .. most inconvenient. One staff member extremely rude, the rest of them were ok. The internet site is VERY misleading. I'm sure the photos were of a different hotel. It should say on the website that there is no elevator. The steep winding staircase was difficult with two suitcases each. Would probably be ok for a backpacker on a budget.

Soap was not everyday replaced and the WC had a problem with the flushing button which was never replaced during my stay. Nobody was able to take notice of it.

Walls are thin!!! Bathroom was not as clean as it should have been: need some refurbishing!!

No lift and lots of narrow stairs bit grubby around the edges no wifi on the top three floors

It would be very pleased to leave more air come into the room for more comfortable time in the room.

Rooms very small

Rude staff, specially a chinese/japanese attendant. he didn't say not even a "good morning" during my 9 days stay. on my reservation, I shouldnt pay any tax, but they charged me, so be aware of that. during the weekends it is impossible to sleep before 3 am, because the bars around close at 2am and there are a lot of young people screaming at the street. no elevator, so dont bring heavy bags, because they WONT help you at all!!! no AC, it was really hot and we had to sleep with our window open and the street is really noisy.

1. Unclean bathroom (there was mold inside shower stall) 2. No accessible outlet plug. 3. Unsanitary (I saw a mice crawling inside one of the guest rooms). 4. No elevator. 5. Noise at night.

Clearly audible

The room was disappointing. It was small but that was to be expected given the price. The room was shabby and smelt of smoke. It also wasn't very clean, particularly the bathroom sink which drained very slowly and frequently had bits of scum falling from the tap.

No elevator and we were exiled to the top floor, which meant we averaged climbing about 21 flights of stairs dailing just in terms of going to and from the hotel room. Stairs were narrow, dingy. The only electrical outlet in our room was used by the TV which was bolted in class too close to the outlet to permits its use by anything requiring an adapter. The free wireless internet was on a signal so weak that it didn't reach us most of the time anyway.

Other peoples hair in my bed. .. not sure if there is a cleaner? One of the staff was an absolute wanker (glasses and wears a scarf) he was the rudest person I met in Paris. We could hear people coughing in other rooms. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Very narrow stairs in the 5th floor!!!! terrible to go up with my bags!

Stairs a problem at our age-close to 70.

No electricity outlets in the room, TV was broken, old interior needs renovating.

Some staff members were pretty rude, even though I was speaking french carpet in the room and on the walls (!) - so if you are allergic to dust, take some allergic pills mold in the shower

Durty like an animal place to live Honestly this place is the worst I have never seen in all my hotel user time>. .. .and I am a freouent traveller
