Pros

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were a family of four and really appreciated that our suite had two rooms. The rooms were decent, clean & comfortable with an interesting view from our windows of the back streets in Paris. Great location in the Latin Quarter, we loved it. Wonderful shower with hot water. The maid did a lovely job of cleaning the rooms daily. The elevator worked fine but we usually the stairs.

The lobby was well appointed but the rooms had seen better days (no big surprise), however they were decent, clean and comfortable. My only small grumble was the wee bit of mold on the tub and tiles. The walls are thin, but we stayed in the off season and were only disturbed a couple of times during the late hours. Again, no big surprise. Unfortunately the shuttle service the hotel uses for making arrangements to the airport was not satisfactory and we were disappointed in their service. The driver dumped us in the wrong terminal at Orly (who knew there was an South & West - there was no indication on our tickets) and left us there to figure it out. We did of course, but it wasn't a very decent thing to do anyone.

Pros

Location is everything about this hotel. It is centrally situated for access to all attractions. We stayed in room 46 in the small courtyard which was lovely, but we did not see any of the other floors in the hotel so could not comment on them. Breakfast was included for us and was fine.

We had a room with a balcony facing the street and I liked sleeping with the balcony doors open. Because of the close proximity to universities and bars it was kind of noisy.

Twin room we had this time was way too small. although we had separate beds they could not be pulled apart due to location of wardrobes either side. this room should not have been sold as a twin

Hotel was recommended to us by friends. Like them, we appreciated the location of the hotel. A staff person was always available at the desk and we appreciated having access to the internet on your computer. (s)

Elevators failed several times and with heavy luggage it was a pain! The desk staff were not always very helpful. A training program on 'reaching out to help' would be helpful. When non-french-speaking guests ask for help they should get more than minimal support. Advice on how to get to other places was hard to get from your staff!
