Stuff quite friendly but the rest of the hotel a little loveless and dingy. The street all the night loud (police alarms, drunken people etc. ) and the walls of the house producing loud voices. .. very, very small rooms!

Location is near the centre of Paris, walking distance almost everywhere (we also walked back to the hotel from Montmartre, long but not difficult). We asked for a table with chair to the balcony and we got it right after. Staff is very nic and helpful.

Very noisy street, people party till late night (3-4am is still crowded). Not all staff speaks English. Bed was pretty uncomfortable. Room was rather small with tiny bathroom (not sure whether you are sitting on a toilet or in a shower, it is almost on one spot) but clean. And 5th floor without the elevator is a nightmare after a long walk:-)

The hotel was shabby and unclean, the staff were not hospitable and the room was a joke. Only the very minimal was provided and begrudgingly too. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an enjoyable stay in Paris.

Pros

Excellent good for value and excellent situation, aside the Line 1 of Metro (yes, the same that brings you to the Louvre, Place Concorde, l'Hôtel de Ville, l'Arc du Triomphe or la Défense, for instance).

Obviously the services could be improved, but if your main reason is finding an economical and clean place to overnight in the centre of Paris, matters like no TV in the room or no elevator aren't important at all.
