Central position (with lots of restaurants nearby) meant we could walk to many places (Notre Dame, the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Pompidou Centre etc, etc). Good breakfast. Quiet. Helpful staff. (and we were able to check in early!)

The staff were beyond compare! I cannot say enough wonderful things about how kind everyone at the Front Desk was. They went out of their way to make our stay magical! (special thanks to Caroline who managed to get us a taxi during rush hour which enabled us to catch our train to Avignon). I loved the toilettries - they were such great quality (and the shoe polish buff was welcomed by my leather flats after walking around Paris all day).

The only one I could think of would be to put a better blow dryer in the Classic level rooms. Other than that - I cannot think of anything.

Pros

Great location for cafes and restaurants. Centrally located to Paris, close to the Odeon metro stop. Very convenient to shops for food, drink, pharmacy needs and fashion boutiques. Although the location is not quiet, my room was quiet after the windows were closed. Breakfast was buffet style including eggs, sausages, various meats, croissants, cereal, etc. Coffee had free refills.

The room was rather small. I did not want it cleaned every day, but the staff didn't seem to care for that idea and would clean it anyway, even with a do not disturb sign on the door.

Attractive room decor, quiet and air conditioned The reception areas are attractive and comfortable to use. Free WiFi is good. Very good location, in a busy area, plenty of eating places and interesting shops.

Room 3 had various problems. I told the desk person about them when we left, and we returned 5 days later, the problems were almost all still there, including: shower head sagged so it had to be handheld, top piece to cold water sink faucet was loose and came off all the time, drain plug opener didn't work (so our sink was plugged for one evening unitl my husband managed to pull the plug out manually), bedside sconce dimmed to low, but would not turn completely off (annoying when you are trying to sleep). Breakfast could have some fresh fruit.

Wonderful staff: could not have managed details of luggage without Carolyne. One of the most helpful people we know, and glad of it. We've stayed in decent hotels like Relais and Chateaux, etc. , but would recommend this one to anyone going to Paris.

The elevator was inconvenient. I would have appreciated a proper concierge. I nearly missed my train to London as I had to wait for a taxi for nearly an hour!! The young lady with the glasses at the desk was not competant at all!!

Great location, with lots of bars and cafes and shops close by. close to lots of sightseeing and the RER line. Executive room was very spacious by Paris standards and nicely decorated. Lift was available to carry bags to room, yet during our stay we were able to use the stairs to go up the one flight to our room. Shower in bathroom was incredible. Breakfast room was very quaint and food was basic but adequate.

Hairdryer did not work, had to ask 3 times for a working one. room was very hot despite radiator off, again reported this problem, had window open at night but noise from street was too loud. one member of staff eventually put the airconditioning on one evening, but it was off again by the next day. there is a problem with temperature in room 3.
