Very clean & modern. Great location directly next to Rue Cler & near the Eiffel Tower. Very friendly, helpful staff. Room 502 window had nice view of the street (Rue Champ de Mars) & restaurants below.

The staff was exceptionally helpful. The location is great--it is on a relatively quiet street close to good restaurants and just a couple blocks from a metro stop.

Lovely modern faciliites; bathrooms well equipped and stylish ; with the eiffel tower as landmark nearby its impossible not to be able to lcoate this when walking ; easy reach of many prime tourist spots ; very easy reach of some nice cafes for breakfast and dinner.

Excellent location, could not ask for better. Excellent selection of local restaurants. Lovely breakfast buffet available. We had the museum pass for 2 days including with our rate and it is well worth it.

Had requested some months back for a 'nice' room as this break was for my wife's 40th birthday. Even though the room was very clean and typically parisien in that it was small I felt no effort was made to give us a better room and no attempt was made to acknowledge the occasion. That was hugely disappointing for me. Room was exceptionally warm at night with air conditioning system not operational.

Pros

We selected the hotel based upon the Rick Steves recommendation in his book. We have used his recommendations before, and have never been disappointed - and this prevailed on this stay. The location was great, and the nearby eateries and services were very good "transitions" into the French culture and scene for us, given that we do not speak French. And the hotel staff were excellent in helping us with many aspects of that transition, plus taking care of things like calling a cab, etc. The modern atmosphere of the hotel was a bit of a shock, but it was very pleasant and comfortable. As our first place to stay in France, it was also well located in terms of being close to the Eiffel Tower, and other attractions within walking distance.

The location was not well served by the Metro line, having only one route nearby. But that hesitation is probably only the result of some trepidation regarding being in a new country and not being familiar with the system.
