Location was a gem. Also, if you are looking for a newly furnished, modern hotel with clean lines and modern finishing, Duo's your hotel.

One of their daytime front desk staff. I believe his name is Frederick. Extremely unhelpful. He flat out turned us down when we ask if he could check if a reservation with a restaurant has been made by his colleague. He was downright rude and simply unhelpful. Other than that, the rest of the staff were fantastic (special mention to Etienne). Also the friendly bar guys who were always cheerful and friendly when we see them.

Staff was functional. messed up my room reservation, and after checking in, was told no more rooms with bath were available (even though that's what I had reserved). he seemed reluctant to do anything about it when i brought this up to him, but finally agreed to decrease the rate to the price of the room that i was actually given. .. and i had to re-explain the situation when i went to check out and they tried to charge me the upgraded room rate which i didn't even get.

Pros

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodations in Paris. The hotel is so convenient to the metro and in close proximity to shopping, Notre Dam and restaurants. The service provided by Sebastian exceeds my expectation. He was professional, very friendly and very knowledgeable. The hotel is very fortunate to have him.

The hotel is situated perfectly. The room was very clean and quiet, smartly designed, had a great bathroom and a tiny but welcome balcony. The staff was very pleasant and I received an upgrade without asking for one. The petit dejeuner was delicious. The value of what I received for what I paid was excellent.

THe hotel is beautiful, attractively decorated and well located. The staff, particularly at the desk, was most helpful when we had a problem to solve. The breakfast was outstanding, delicious, well served and bountiful.

It would have been nice to have a small sink in the toilette so we would not have to cross the room whenever we had to wash our hands. It definitely would help to have a stand alone shower since entering and exiting the bath tub is somewhat difficult for older people. Or perhaps a hand grab bar would do as well.

The room was tiny and it was difficult for the two of us to move around in. But, we did have a corner room and could look out both windows and see the sidewalk cafe's below. :)
