Perfect location, near Notre Dome, metro station , restaurants. In walking distance you are in small streets around Saint Germen or Saint Michell, full of everything someone needs ( restaurants, bistros, creperies, bars, etc ). Our room no142 (triple) was spacious.

- Since my room was on the 6th floor and the elevator only reaches up to the 5th, I need to take the stairs to go to my room. Not a big problem for everyday, but it's tough when you are with luggages.

GREAT staff (every single one I met, including the breakfast staff, were cheery, welcoming, warm, helpful), wonderfully clean/neat bedroom, bathroom, and common areas. Breakfast very good. Location is PHENOMENAL. Perfect. Handy to RER (airport public transit) and a block from the Metro. I cannot imagine a better hotel for the price (except for a wish for more comfortable sleeps . .. see below in CONS). The staff let me try my French and they tried to speak back to me in French instead of immediately switching to English. Free wi-fi is nice and access in lobby is great as well. This is my second stay at Home Latin. Despite the cons noted, I have absolutely LOVED it both times. I would recommend Home Latin without reservation. Merci Merci!

Bed (room 160) was not too comfortable. Unfortunately, I didn't sleep well any of my three nights. I loved my little compact room "at the top of Paris" but I couldn't adjust the radiator heat too well so it got too hot at night (I should have asked about this so that is probably my fault). I would prefer to have the option for a rectangular pillow if possible (I am 5'11" tall - this was a single bed so square pillow made the bed effectively too short for me). It would also be good to offer 2 pillows of different firmness so that guests choose which they prefer (I have a stiff neck - it really affects my sleep if I can't find a pillow that works).

Location, location, location!! It was extremely easy to walk to Notre Dame and there was a metro stop close by, too. The staff was very helpful and polite. Thank you for having a computer to use when I needed it.

The bathroom could have used some shelving under the sink on each side to store toiletries and the closet had six built-in hangers: could have used at least six more since there were two of us in the room.

I love Hotel Home Latin. I loved the hotel when I stayed in Paris 17 years ago and glad that it is still there. I love the location. I want to see it continue to survive and be able to recommend it to my friends. Please, please, please continue to maintain high standards for hygiene and resolve the beg bug problem that exists. I want to visit this hotel again in 5years. Hope you are still around with a good reputation.

There are bed bugs in the large mattress of room 153. My daughter is covered in bites. The bites are the typical pattern of three in a row, showed up 9 days after our stay.

Pros

I've stayed here 3 times. The location is perfect and within 2 blocks of 2 Metro stops, 3 small grocers, several excellent cafes and a small 'strip' of other specialty food vendors. Rooms are cleaned well every day, the staff are always cooperative and helpful 24/7 and breakfasts are adequate. Free computer in the lobby and WiFi in the rooms. A short walk to the Seine, Notre dame and the heart of the Latin Quarter. A great base for your adventures.

We booked a taxi, at the hotel, to go to the airport and were not informed that it would be a van, not a private taxi, that arrived after the time scheduled. We got to the airport on time, but it would have been better if we had been informed of this detail.

The water in the bathroom is often very cold! It was cold in the room (radiator was switch off) My room was a little small and there was no lock or refrigerator in, but these details didn't make me feel unconfortable.

Breakfast (could be better with real french specialties); there should be frigobar option (specially water) available to guests. The shuttle bus offered to visitor did not provide a good service by leaving us on the wrong gate - this may be a con against the good experience at the hotel.
