I cant think of any "pros" of spending a material amount of money and having to go through the experience we went through.

The staff at the desk clearly have no idea what they are doing and I was left with the strong impression that management care more about what the hotel looks like, than creating a positive experience for its guests. Having pre-booked and paid for our rooms some weeks earlier, we arrived at 11am with another couple and were told that our rooms were not ready as check-out was 12. So fair enough, we decided to go out for lunch, as the hotel restaurant menu was very limited. We returned at 2pm and the rooms remained unavailable and were now told that they would only have them ready at 3pm as they needed 3 hours to change rooms. We then returned at 5pm and were told that the room of our friends had been given to another customer and the hotel was full. Interestingly, when I checked out the next morning, the person at the desk asked me if I was checking out of two rooms! All this ruined a two day break with friends. We had spent over 6 hours simply trying to get into a room and our friends were forced to moved to another hotel.

The services just aren't up to par - the room we were upgraded to did not have heat and it took quite a bit of time for the staff to decide to move us. This was made a challenge to us, not made easier by them. The bar seems to have no staff so we waited for a half hour and then left. The breakfast service that we asked for in our room was late one morning by more than 45 minutes. There is not a lot to do directly in the neighbourhood. Generally, the staff are very defensive and many things about the decor are already starting to fade - wallpaper peeling, insulation coming out and so forth.

The room was nice but was not - surprise - well designed. . No full length mirror, no hot / cold indicators in the shower (and no bath). And it seemed to be still in construction (unless the bare wood on the cabinets is a design feature. .). We got it as an upgrade, but if we were paying the list price this would have been entirely overpriced.

The staff members were excellent- polite, helpful and friendly. The hotel location is prime- away from the busy and noisy Champs Elysees but just round the corner and about 5 minutes walk away. I loved the decor of the hotel includung the room- very pleasing to the soul.

Only 2 small things : the room service it is very freindly but the presentation and salmon fume just to simple. And maybe beacause of my room that was in the back the stairs for getting to the elevator with the suitcase is just uncomfort.

Room service was non existant, three attempts were made within operating hours two of which blamed "an accident in the kitchen". On the other occasion nobody was able to answer. A breakfast was ordered one day and it came in patently wrong, with uncooked "hard boiled" eggs. The staff stated they would bring a new breakfast the next day free of charge and simply did not do so. Mini bar was restocked only when a specific request was made, never was it surveyed on a daily basis.

Pros

I was delighted that La'Maison were able to accomodate me at such short notice. An opportunity to meet with friends traveling through Paris was too good to miss. The staff were warm, welcoming and very accomodating of my poor french skills :-)
