There was building work going on while i was there and i had to walk through a building site to get my room. this was not mentioned on the website anywhere when i was booking.

Ongoing building works when I stayed, which meant corridors outside rooms were a bit of a mess -- room itself fine however. Stairs are a bit narrow/steep for the infirm.

Access to room via dangerous stairs. No fire-escape. Courtyard (needed to cross to get to room block) full of building materials + pool of water + dark.

Pros

This hotel is a good option if you're looking for an inexpensive stay in Paris. It's located within a 5 min walk from Port Orleans metro station or 10 min from Cite Universitaire RER B station. It took me less than 30 min by metro to get to the major attractions along the Seine. The staff is friendly and can understand some English.

Noicy building, you hear peolple walking around above you and the noices from the kitchen. Unfortunately, there was a cockroach in my room, but for the rest is was quite clean.
