General reviews about the hotel

Although the rooms are tiny (this is Paris after all), they are so cozy, confortable and clean. The bed was so amazing, so if you have back problems you are sure to get a good night's sleep. This hotel is close to all the major attractions and its easy to walk over to the Louvre, Place de la Concorde and then along the Champs Élysés. The breakfast was awesome so definitively pay the 10 euros for it, you will get delicious coffee, a basket of croissant (one of them is 'au chocolat'), and a fresh squeezed orange juice, and tons of cheeses, jams, fresh fruit, etc to choose from.

Perfect location. Charming staff. Authentically 'French', the opposite of a corporate hotel. We were made to feel very welcome. Altogether delightful.

If you like windows open during the night, as we do, street side can be a bit noisy from traffic. But windows are double glazed so this otherwise isn't a problem. In any case there are probably other rooms on the courtyard side.

The only con was that our room was miniscule but apart from that, everything was fine. We didn`t find out that laundry service was available until we asked at the front desk. It would have been nice to have that information in the room.

Rooms need to be refreshed. carpet is old and stained, paint is chipping off in the bathroom. The towels are worn and fraying at the edges. The staff was not able to make any restaurant recommendations in the neighborhood.

Rooms and beds are a little small, but typical for a 3 star hotel in Paris. Not really a problem - if you want more space, you'll have to pay for a 4 star hotel. I've stayed in several hotels in Paris over the years and this was the nicest in its price range.

Richard and Dominique were wonderful and made us feel so welcome and cared for. The hotel felt like every detail was attended to, and we appreciated all the extra touches like the beautifully painted doors to the rooms, the nice art on the walls, the nice products in the bathroom, and the elaborate and delicious breakfast. The location was ideal as well.

Our shower didn't work and we didn't discover it until it was 10 pm and we wanted to bathe before bed. We also didn't get to shower the next morning, as we wanted to leave our room by 9 and there wasn't another room open yet to use as an alternative. Having said that, Richard did offer us another room to use at 9:30, but we were already dressed and ready to leave. He did turn this whole thing into a positive for us by not charging us for breakfast to make up for this, something we really appreciated. The service was excellent.

My only disappointment was that we had booked a twin room and was given a double. As I was travelling with my 18 year old son and staying for 4 nights, it meant I had to upgrade my room at an additional cost to me which I had not budgeted for.

Incredible location on the left bank with hotel staff that speak English beautifully. The staff were extremely helpful in answering touring and dining questions. The rooms while small are very charming.

Only one electrical outlet in the room and so it took a bit of figuring to make this work out for charging all of our electronics. We had no problems with this. My wife is our electronics guru and had been alerted to this before we arrived.
