General reviews about the hotel

The staff were wonderful and the breakfast great. The location was really good for us travelling around by train. We walked to and from the station to the hotel with our baggage with ease. An easy walk to the old town and the lake.

The free wifi internet was way too slow. Even when we used the hotel internet it was still slow. A real problem when we wasted 2 hours trying to connect to book further accomodation.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Not so far from city center. Comfortable room with toilet separate from the bathroom.

Bar and restaurant of the hotel closed three nights of the four we were in the hotel. Specially disappointing for the bar in the evening when you are coming back at the hotel after a walk in the city and you would like to enjoy a drink before going to bed. Poorness of the buffet for breakfast, specially comparing to the price. Not enough place in the carpark.

Too far away from the restaurants and the old centre, for elderly people. Rooms were too small, bathroom not suitable for elderly people. For the roomrate without breakfast we could book a room with halfboard by the Relais du Silence in Gex.

It was close enough to the lake and the old town.

The room felt old but not in a good way. The number of locks on the door didn't provide a sense of security. The light in the bathroom was burnt out which made me wonder if the staff had cleaned the bathroom. I realize that Europe can be expensive but this hotel room cost us $150 CAN and it felt like a cheap motel. I wasn't comfortable in the room at all.
