Pros

Old world charm and wonderful staff. They were very helpful on sights to see and how to get around on the metropoltana (subway). Just a block from Via Veneto with great shopping and numerous wonderful sidewalk restaurants and gelato stands. Walking distance to Fontana di Trevi and the Spanish Steps. At night the streets come alive. We walked all around at night and always felt safe (normal big city precautions, of course). Good European type breakfast.

While we don't consider this a con, some might find it cramped by US standards. For example the lobby and elevator is only big enough to hold one person with one suitcase, so it took a couple of trips to get everything to the room that's part of the old world charm. Also, a little expensive, especially with the current exchange rate but it seemed to be in line with other hotels.

Great location. Walk to many of the sites and to shopping. Staff is friendly. Rooms are small and very old, but the location make up for this shortcoming.

Pros

This was a great place to stay in Florence. The hotel and rooms were very clean and cozy, and the price was affordable. Florence is a great walking city and everything is an easy walk from this hotel. It is also located on a nice plaza very close to the train station for arrival, departure and day trips from Florence.

Rooms really need updating, some strange smells at times coming from the bathroom, building work under the hotel started every morning at around 07. 30- 08. 00.

The hotel is very dirty!!! the sheets were never changed, they had hairs, the towels stinked!! never stayed in such a dirty hotel ever. the breakfast is not good. terribly dirty, the bathroom floor, the bed cover, really a disaster, we are never coming back and never recomending it either

Great breakfast terrace with croisannts and toast, orange juice, espresso, etc. Great location, right near Barbarini Metro and Via Veneto. Short walk to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain.

The location is excellent: close to the historical centre and metro yet a very quiet street. The staff was very helpfull and nice. The room and bathroom were quite spacious.

Breakfast was quite a disappointment; there were ONLY super sweet things to eat - nothing nutritious, healthy nor any protein. For the same money they could easily serve a delicious breakfast for different tastes.
